COMBINED ORPHANAGES APPEAL.
MEETING FOR COLLECTORS. A meeting of all those who are taking part as collectors in the Combined Orphanages Appeal next Friday will itake place at the Y.M.C.A. on Tuesday evening. At this meeting, instruction will be given as to the best method of collecting, and information as to genera! character that will be useful to collectors will also be imparted. Matters in connexion with the ap.peal are beiuf taken up enthusiastically all over the City, and everything points to a most successful result. The Rotary Club, which is organising the Mite 'of Pennies Scheme throughout, the schools, has met with a Sympathetic response, and the placing of the pennies on the streets of the City will be a novel feature of the day. Moro collectors are still wanted, and those willing to assist are asked to get in touch with the secretary of the appeal, Mr A. G. S. Gibbs, Church House, corner Cashel and Manchester streets.
