The meeting of these teams usually provides first-class Rugby, and patrons may expect something bright to-day. The competition is getting towards the end now and interest is well maintained. Lancaster Park South will be the venue of the 'Varsity-Old Boys encounter. These teams usually play bright and open football with plenty of passing. On the West Ground, North Canterbury and Merivale Senior B teams will meet. Northern patrons will have an opportunity of witnessing the Christchurch - Linwood match at Bugby Park. On the Show Grounds No. 1, Sydenham play Athletic, and on the adjoining ground, the second grade teams of Papanui and Sydenham will be seen in action. At English Park this afternoon a bright exhibition of Association football should be witnessed when Rangers meet ,the youthful Technical Old Boys B team, whieh put up such a good fight against Thistle a few Saturdays ago.
