SEA CADET CORPS.
On Thursday at the Navy League Hall the members of the Navy League i Sea Cadet Corps gave a display and entertainment. The cadets were inspected, receiving points for a competition, for a pocket compass which had been presented to them, and then gave demonstrations of their work with the compass, signal flags, and lights, and also a short display of signalling. Sea chanties were sung, and games and dancing followed. Before supper was served, the commanding officer, in welcoming the guests, gave a "short resume of the work already done by the corps, pnd referred to the Easter camp at Port Levy, which had been of great value in the training of the cadets. He "Mentioned the handicap under which the corps laboured in the lack of proper equipment, including a ship's compass, signal flags, Morse keys, and books. The object oi the corps was to instil into the boys the principles of duty, discipline, and selfrespect, and the traditions and work of the British Navy,
