AUCKLAND, June 3. A professional boxing contest to-night between Tommy Mctaues and Jim Broadfoot attracted 'a large crowd to the Town Han, but the match ended disappointingly. Broad* foot had injured a cauliflower ear in trai*ing, and during the early rounds Mclnnea connected frequently to this ear. Aa a result of the pain Broadfoot had to retire at tb« end of the sixth round after being examined by two doctors.
