NEW COMMANDER APPOINTED. (BBITISH OFFICIAL WIBELMS.) (Received June 2nd, 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY, June 1. Major-General O- C. Borrett has been appointed General Officer Commanding the British troops in China, with effect from January sth, 1933, when the appointment of Major-General J. W. Sandilands expires. [Major-General Oswald C. Borrett, who is 55 yearsLpf age, has been commander of the 46.1 i North Midland Territorial Army since 1931. He entered the Army in 1898, and served in the South African War and also in the European War. From 1919 to 193Q he was A.D.C. to the King.]
