Four judgment debtors appeared at the Magistrate's Court at vVanganui this week in response 'to actions taken against them by their creditors. Between them they had 25 children and their total average incomes a week amounted to £lO 16s. Each had a wife to support in addition to themselves find their families, so that the average income for a family of eight, including fho parents, amounted to about £2 14s a week. Two of them, however 9 were unemployed and were drawing only 37s 6d a week. No order was made in any of the cases.
