SPURIOUS FLORINS.
(PBESS ASSOCIATION TBLEGEAII.) WELLINGTON, May 19. Counterfeit Australian florins dated 1927 and 1931 have come under the notice of the banks. They can easily be passed and accepted as, genuine. They are lighter than real coins by about a quarter. Tho nitrio acid test is unreliable unless the base metal underneath is exposed.
