The member* of the cast are English eiago players, and their beautifully-spoken English adds immeasurably to the enjoyment of the film. Heading the cast is Dennis Neilion Terry, and he is supported by the talented actress Betty Stockfleld. The supporting cast ineludes Malcolm Keen, Ben Weldon, Molly Johnson, Cecil Humphreys, and Esmond Knight. The greater part of the action takes place inside "77 Park Lane," and the director has taken advantage of every turn oi the story to exploit to the full the various incidents that lead to the climax. There .are touches of light comedy, and these als.' have been, introduced very effectively. Briefly, the story of "77 Park Lane" follows the exciting adventures which,befall the wealthy Lord Brent (Dennis Neilson-Terry), who returns to London from abroad on Boat Race night. Whilst celebrating his »return with a friend, he buys a taxi, "and in the course of his peregrinations, with his noisy vehicle encounters by chance an unknown girl (Betty Stockfleld); She asks him to drive her to a house in the West End vised as a gambling den. The gambling den turns out to be located in his own town mansion in Park Lane, supposedly unoccupied. To protect the girl, and in an effort to save her brother, who is "framed" for the murder of one of the crooks' running the illicit den, Lord Brent enters his own house as a player, and then the excitement begins.
