Renewed Communist activity is reported from Fukien, where Red armies are threatening Changchowfu, on the mainland, opposite Amoy. Foreigners living on the mainland, mostly missionaries, are preparing a lefuge in Amoy, where the.British consul has requested _ the dispatch of a gunboat. Provincial troops are preparing to take the field against the Red invaders.
