'After some interesting' pl*y Kte winners were Mt6 Taylor-Smith, *Mr S. JUCullough, and Mr Penn. An adjournment was mado to the pavilion, when afternoon tea was served. Mr £. J. Row presented the prizes won during the UUU as follows: — Open championship, A. G. Rosa; nu»MX-«p, H. A. Penn. •' Ladies' championship, Mrs Stallard; ma* oer-up, Mrs G. Freeman. Junior championship, Miss Maze; runnexup, Mrs Pullar. „ „ Hettie Smith Memorial Handicap, X B. Maunder; runner-up, Misa Bell. Yankee tournament, H. A. Penn: runner - up, Mrs Bosomwortli. Jnior doubles, Mrs Pullar and Mis Maunder. Mr S. McCullough, secretary of the Canterbury Croquet Association, presented tfc» flag to Mrs Palmer, captain of the TJnited 15 team, the winners of the ladies* pennant competition.
