Within the past two years more than 500,000 acres of Scottish estates hare changed hands. These astonishing facts were disclosed to a reporter in Edinburgh recently by representatives of three of the biggest firms of estate .agents and auctioneers iu Scotland. One firm is offering for sale 590,770 acres of Scotland. The property consists principally of sporting territory and mansions. In nearly ovefy case the present proprietors maintain that sale is necessitated by beavy taxation.
