MAJESTIC THEATRE.
"CHARLIE CHAN'S CHANCE." "Nothing except the wind can pass without. leaving u shadow" is the proverb on which the astute Chinese detective bases his amazingly successful theories in the Fox film, "Charlie Cban's Chance," which will start at the Majestic Theatre on Monday. Since his first Oriental role as an "extra" in one of the first talking pictures, the Swedish character actor Warner Oland has rapidly come to the forefront through his deft portrayals of Charlie Chan, the Hawaiian Chinese detecuvc, whose bland use of witty old-time proverbs is equalled only by his accurate, swift, and logical summing up of a situation. His latest film in # tho well-known scries shows him at his best. The action is swift and the plot most ingeniously conceived. The box planß arc at The Bristol.
