THE lEEV. A. B. TODD. (rHESfI ASSOCIATION «LEORAM.) WELLINGTON, April 15. Tho Rev. A. Brtico Todd, a wellknown Presbyterian Minister, attended a gathering at Karori last night, and cm leaving the hall ran a .short distance to a train fctop. He boarded a tram and returned home feeling unwell. Subsequently he became worse and'died about midnight. Mr Todd was well known in South Canterbury, and i'or some years was minster of the Geraldine charge, lie was esteemed for his high principles and strict adherence to i-lio doctrines of the Presbyterian Church. t After leaving Geraldine he went to Wellington in the capacity of supply to the charge at Karori and had filled this office for some months before his death.

He was a leading Quaker of the East End. He visited Australia before the vear, and was opposed to military training. lie investigated the conditions of aborigines in the Northern Territory, in 1010, when he said that his most pleasant guide 'was a blackfellow who had been convicted of murder.

Mr Willis Sltarpe Kilmer, a noted turf man, in a message from Sarastoa (Florida) states that iMr William Burns, tlio world-lamed detective, died tonight, aged 70 years.
