A midriight * explosion of photographic chemicals, due to a fire on the second floor, trapped 45 families, spreading panic throughout the Star Film Agency's seven-storey building. Flames ignited the stairs to the fourth storey, preventing all egress and necessitating the inmates jumping from the windows into sheets held by firemen. Six were killed, 25 were injured, and four who aro missing are believed to bo killed. ,■ »- ■ The adjoining building also was destroyed.
