EXHIBITION MATCH. LINDRUM'S BREAK OF 1072. (Received March 17th, 9.2S p.m.) DETROIT, Marob 16. The first 1000 break on record in English billiards play in the United States was made by Walter Lindrum to-night, in a break of 1072 in the final block of a three-day exhibition match with Tom Newman, who won the match by 5767 to 4956, with an advantage of a 1500 handicap given him by the Australian.
