PRISONERS SENTENCED.
,'PRE3S ASSOCIATION TILE 3 RAM-) WELLINGTON, March 17. The. following prisoners were sentenced to-day by Mr Justice Ostler: John Alfred Footc, breaking, entering, and theft at Marton, two years' probation, and ordered to pay the «osts of the prosecution, £1 Is, within a month. Samuel Hooko and William Wallace, breaking, entering, and theft at Wellington and being in possession of house-breaking, instruments, two years' probation, and ordered to pay the costs of the prosecution, 10s 6d each. James Ogden Alexander, three charges of forging and uttering at Nelson aud a charge of false pretences, six months' imprisonment. George Alexander Wilson and -lames Howard Goffin, breaking, entering, and theft, breaking and entering with intent to commit a crime, and theft, four years' hard labour, to be concurrent with a two years' term at present being served. " ' John Colston and Albert Edward Owen, breaking and entering by night at Hastings and committing tb?ft, and breaking, entering, and theft, detention in a Borstal Institute for a period not exceeding three years, to be concurrent with terms at present being undergone.
