This is gratifying, but not surprising. For the new Standards were brought into being by public demand—and shaped by the needs of today. They are the cars the public wants .• high in luxury, comfort and performance, yet sensationally low in price and running cost, if The Standard Nine, giving luxurious comfort for four adults, actually does over forty miles to the gallon, / / and sells at from £249*. Standard Big Nine, £315. Standard Sixteen, Six Cylinders, £355. Standard Twenty, Six Cylinders, £498. They are four completely new and most amazing cars, and as sales *Allprices at Main Ports have shown, four most amazing values. ★ To buy a new car without seeing the new Standards is to discount the judgment of all those who gave Standards their present sales leadership,, and N to show an untimely disregard for the value of money. Three miles north of Brighton, England, on the South Downs, is the ancient Hollingbury camp. In shape between a square and a circle, it covers about nine acres. Antiquaries have speculated as to the date of the camp, but not until last year did, anyone dig into it. Fragments of pottery found show rtiat Hollingbury was occupied about 300 B.C. by a Clitic people who went to England from the Continent. On the top of the banks the residents built a strong stockade of wopd. Postholes were found to descend into solid chalk. Two sections of the stockade have been reconstructed, by inserting new posts in the old holes, so that now there is a fair picture of what Hollingbury must have looked like 2200 years ago.
