Ball (12) and Chappie (10) made top scores, Chappie and Adams being their most successful howlers. S. McNally, 18 not out, made most runs for the home side, and Ayres took most wickets. A second match was played during the week-end against the Crown Brewery. In the first innings Prebbleton made 44 against the visitors' totaj • pf 56 (Baker 11. Wilson 10). and in the .second innings the, local men scored 48 (Ayres 19) against the Brewery's 65 (Wilson 23, McConnor 10). McNally. Ayres, and Hands for Prebbleton, and Day, Wrlson, and Thomas for the Brewery were the best bowlers. The Rugby Football Club intends opening the season on Saturday afternoon, when a match will be played in the Domain.
