Their story was "that they hud gone to the city \n a motor-car, and one called on Blomfield to arrange for the easier .payment of a debt which they owed. He returned to the car and told his companion of Blomfield a refusal to meet the request. It is alleged that, taking a spanner from under the seat, he deel ar ed th he would make Blomfield see leason, and then returned to the shop.
