THEATRE ROYAL. "SILENCE." One can always expect good entertainment li-om any pictma in which Clive Brook is starred. His performance is "Silence," now at the Royal, ■; is well up to standard. Ir. this exciting melodrama, from the Paramount Studios. Brook plays the part of a pcttv thief. Jim Warren, and his characterisation is faultless. The role bo por;®tty S is great in character, and very well indeed doCs' he act the story of a man s adventures and dUillusionmtjnts —trials which eventually, bring him to make a glorious sacrifice ;so that he may save the honour of hjS peKSy* h Shannon. one of the new women stari, ha» a dual role in ''Silence —that of Brook's wife and later of his daughter. She has a strongly emotional bent, but is nevertheless versatile in her characterisations. Other parts are taken by Frajk Bheridan,- John Wray. William Robertson, and Marjorie Kambeau. '
