LANDING IN A BOG. DELAY AT KOEPANG. (UNITED PIiF.SS ASSOCIATIOX—BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT.) (Received January 18th, 7.30 p.m.) KOEPANG, January IS. Air Commodore C. E. KingsfordSinitli arrived on Sunday afternoon. He landed in spite of a danger signal and his aeroplane stuck in the soft ground at the aerodrome, the result of continuous rain. The machine was dragged out of the Log on to a harder patch after two hours' work. The ground is not fit to permit a start yet, but it may improve later to-day. OFF TO DARWIN. (Kcceived January 18th, 11.36 p.m.) KOEPANG, January 18. Kingsi'ord-Smith left at 1 o'clock for Darwin. TURNED BACK BY BAD WEATHER. (Received January 19th, H.L'2 a.m.) SYDNEY, January 18. . The Amalgamated Wireless Ltd., station at Darwin has sent a radio message reporting that Kingsford-Smith turned back to Koepang two hours afterleaving owing to bad weather.
