EVERYBODY'S THEATRE
"REDUCING." That famous pair, Marie Dressier and Polly Moran, run a beauty parlour in "Reducing," a talkie which has returned for a second season at Chmstchurch. Considerable search waa made for a story which would be a worthy successor to "Politics,'' the previous Dressler-Moran laugh hit. The search war ended when Metrc-Goldwyn-Majcr executives read the hilarious ay r apsis of "Reducing," concerned with the happenings in a salon for reducing excess avoirdupois Miss Dressier, as the country sister of Polly, tho prosperous beauty parlour owner, is reported to display her usual penchant for combining uproarious comedy with a penetrating character portvayal, in tho manner of her recent success.
