The proud claim that-she-has never had a road, accident with her buses is made by Mrs A. E. McMinn, aged 62, pf Staffordshire, who in. face"'of fierce competition maintains an almost uninterrupted daily service on the Potteries main bus route. Probably the oldest woman bus-owner in the country, Mrs McMinn learned, the busings from her husband, who died five years agor Her's is now a one-woman business run with one bus. Mrs McMinn. keeps all the accounts, pays .out, wages,' and attends'to repairs. "You don't make a fortune with buses these* days." Mrs McMinn says. "Why. some weeks all the profit and much more goes in repairs. I once paid' out nearly £IOO a week-, in this way. But T have no intention of going out of businessyet." A Boys' Brigade battalion in Glasgow has sent £4 to help to form a j .junior team in Latvia.
