The "Sunday Impress" says that the Port Gisborne arrived at Hull f rom New Zealand with eighteen young qualified ship's officers serving in the fo'o'slo because no posts. were avail' able. The senior offieers said that the young men entered sportingly into the contract, had no privileges, and lived the same life as ordinary seamen, The scheme had the approval of the National Union of Seamen, but it was feared that Australian unions bad not approved. It is stated that all of them signed on .for Australia.this week.
