NOMINATIONS FOR COUNCIL. Tho following six nominations for four seats on the Council of the Canterbury Society of Arts have been received by the secretary, Mr G. L. Donaldson:—* Messrs A. A, Bender, A. L. Cropp, A. E, Flower, Dr. J. Guthrie, Mr C. F, Kelly, and Mrs Claude Sawtell. . The nominations closed at 4 p.m. yesterday. The election "will take place at the annual meeting of the Society, which will be held in the Art Gallery on Tuesday evening.
