MECHANICS SENTENCED. (MESI 4BSOCIATCO*. TILtGEAJf.) .HAWERA, December 3. Herbert Porter and Samuel Worner were jointly charged, aild pleaded guilty to four counts, involving the theft of car equipment, tools, clothing, and watches of a total value of £25 from residences in outlying country centres, which they visited between April and October as mechanics repairing milking machines. Porter also admitted the theft of a' magneto valued at £5 at Kapuni* and a watch valued at £lO 10s at Marton. In sentencing each to 12 months' reformative detention, the Magistrate ordered the return of the stolen property.
