Charles Winninger is seen as Mr Madison, the soundest business man of the town. Be"has a large.family, to which he is very devotod. Sidney' Foi is 'Marianne, the spoilt beauty of the family. In tho company of her male friends she is charming and flirtatious, at home potulant and lazy, and not very secretly ashamed of her family. Hedrfek (David Durand) 4s her small brother, who causes much embarrassment by prying into her love-affairs, and announcing them loudly wheat the, -whole family is .assembled, Conrad Nagel is' the village doctor, in love with .Marianne and with' hor younger sister. As, Valentine Corliss, the rogue, ..Humphrey Bogar't,"is excellent. ' Congratulations must ''go to W the actors in this simple "play, for they .all interpret -their parts ,1a exactly the .right way, and create a Very real atmosphere.
