WILD WEATHER ON COAST.

A violent storm with a southerly galo swept Sydney early this morning, and continued all day. Considerable damago was done in the Buburbs and to small harbour craft. Tho large liners are straining at their anchors, and the smaller coastal vessels have been driven to shelter. The Manly ferry boats were tossed violently, and \upon crossing near the Heads passengers were thrown off their seats. Wild weather is reported along the south coast, where a woman was drowned in a swollen creek. Tho telegraph services havo been disorganised, and heavy snow has fallen in parts of southern New South Wales, Impeding railway traffic. FLOODS IN ADELAIDE. TORRENS BREAKS BANKS. ADELAIDE, September 4. Torrential rains resulted in creeks, overflowing, the entering many homes in the suburbs. Thousands of pounds worth of damage has boon caused. The flooded Torreas has broken its banks in several places and the suburb of Kent Town is flooded to a depth of four feet in places. A cloudburst at Norton's Summit resulted in tons of earth slipping on to the main road and blocking tralfie. An | immense volume of water is pouring over tho weir at Torrens Lake.
