Authoritative private advice has been received at Calshot stating that neither France nor Italy wilj compete in the Schneider Trophy contest. The British team will fly the coarse alone. The news has caused bitter disappointment to the British team. CONDITIONAL WITHDRAWAL. (Received September 4th, 1.20 a.m.)LONDON, September 3. Official: Italy and France have withdrawn from the Sohneicjer Trophy contest njilees it i§ postponed for six months. The Aero Club and Air' istry are considering the question of postponement.
