Miss Hester Wigley (liighfiold) has returned home after a visit to the Hormitaga. Mr and Mrs W. Thomas ("The Rectory," North street) are spending a holiday in Waimate. Mrs James Hay (Christchurch) is the guest o£ ; Mr and Mrs H. A. lo Cren ('Ngapunawai," Fairlie). Mrs C. L. Orbell and the Misses Orbell ("Pentlow") are spending the holidays at Lake Qrasmere, Cass. • Miss Peggy Unwin (Church Btreet) returned home yesterday, after a visit to Miss Cecil Elworthy (' 'Craigmore'' )• Miss llose Ulrich (Dunedin), who is the guest of Mrs R. L. Orbell ("The Croft"), will leave for the south today. ' \ •
Misa Cara. Pinckney /"Glenaray"), who is the guest of Mrs W. H. Orbell ("The Levels"), will leave to-day to be the guest of her l sister, Mrs Charles Tripp (Southland).
