MEETING OP ORGANISATION. A meeting of t-lie Junior United Organisation was held last evening, Mr D. W. Russell presiding over a good attendance. r ihe business of the cveniug was. to hear an address by Mr J. D. Ilali and to elect officers. Tlio following officers were elected:--Patron, the Ut. lion. G. W. Forbes; president, Mr J. li. Cuningham; vicepresidents, Mrs Wi S.' Bean, Six 4 Gyrfl, Ward, Colonel Murphy, and Messrs A. A. MeLachlan, C. S. McCully, It- B. Dal ley, J. IV Hall, G. F. Allen, W. Hayward, E. 11. Caygill, T. S. Dncre, A. T. Smith, \V. Thomson, D. F. Denlieliy, and "W. Sandere; committee, Messrs D. "W. Russell (chairman), Ik J. S. Bean (secretary), Misses Englebrccht■ and. Goodrich, and Messrs Grcgor, Simas. C. J. Ward, and Dacre. It was decided to meet fortnightly, and Mr Tl B. Speirs will address tlio nest meeting on September 17th. Mr W. Machin will speak on October Ist. • Mr .J, D. Hall outlined the history of the present United Party 1 and" the history of constitutional government in New Zealand.
