BIBLE CLASS SOCIAL. The combined Toung Women's and Young Men's Methodist Bible Classes ] held a very enjoyable social in the 6 Methodist Schoolroom on Wednesday 1 evening. The time passed quickly in ( games and competitions. Musical items were contributed by Miss Dulcie J Cameron, and. Messrs Fred Woods, and Neil and Colin Smart. The Eev. A. T. - Kent was M.C. • Coacert. j TJie Paramount Players presented an entertainment of outstanding merit in r the Club Hall on Wednesday when there "was a fair attendance. In ' addition to songs, ballet dances, and humorous sketches, Colenso's performing dogs provided an unusual ( item, while Alvado and Nevado enter- ( tained the audience with wire-walking and trapeze acts. The company also presented a South Sea scene, comprising songs and dances, which was much appredated. , Miniature Rifles. 1 The local miniature rifle team de- , featcd the Working Men's Club team | by a considerable margin on Tuesday .. evening, when a m.atch was held on the .'
