NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION. MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. The Management Committee oi the New Zealand Hockey: Association met last evening. Present: Messrs H. S. J. Goodman (chairman),. S. G. Holland, I'. X. Quartermain, It. Gracie, C. Bellamy, \H. Throp, A. I Frestor, and "W. H, Down. . Tear of All India Team: ! The Australian Association fotwaideci lenathy correspondence in .reference to the negotiations between the New Zealand and Australian Associations concerning the visit ox the Indian team. The letters were dealt with in committee. In effect, the Australian Association endorsed the proposals forwarded by the New Zealand Association, which provide for both Associations concerned paying an equal amount towards the expenses of the tour. The following letter was received from the Indian. Hockey Federation: —"I write to confirm my Federation's cable to Australia recently. 1 do hope we shall be able to come to an agreement which will permit the Indian hockey team to visit Australia and New Zealand. I can assure you that the team we put up will be as good oi\ better than the one that did the .last tour: ir. England anii which won the \ Olympic title. (Signed) A. M. Hayman, . president Indian Hockey Federation." The South Canterbury Association wrote applying 'for a match preferably on a Saturday against the India tram nest season Hawks'a Bay. In response to a request from the New Zealand Association,' the Hawke'a Bay .As-, •oeiation "forwarded a statement of . their financial position. and of their losses owing to the earthquake. The statement showed, that the Hawke'e Bay Association had., lost •jerseys, etc., owing to the earthquake, and their grounds had been damaged. The letter also stated- that clubs were financially embarrassed owing to members being unable to pay their dues.
