FARMERS' UNION.
WAIMAIRI BRANCH MEETS. On Monday eTening the Waimairi Branch of the Farmers' Union held a successful meeting at Belfast* Mr D. Goodo was in the chair. After tho usual business had been disposed of, the chairman introduced Hie speaker for the evening, Mr ■«• McGillivray, of the Department -or Agriculture. Mr McGillivray gave a very interesting and instructive a dress on fertilisers. Mr John Cleland moved a vote ot thanks to the sneaker; this wab sec onded by Mr J. Dnnlop and the meeting carried it with acclamation. Supper was then handed round.
