WINTER SHOW.
PRAISEWORTHY EFFORTS. It is safe to say "business is going to be better" only when there are evident signs that the practical efforts of New Zealand producers and manufacturers have clearly resulted in every class of goods made in the Dominion representing values that conform to the Insistent demand of the public lor economical buying. That the standard of value has been reached which means definite economy for the individual purchaser, better lousiness for the industries, and more employment for workers in general is amply demonstrated by the remarknble array of exhibits entered for display at the Winter Show, which opens on August Bth at King Edwa-rd Barracks. Because of the obvious urgency of these problems it can bo safely anticipated that domestic and business interests will meet in far greater numbers at the Exhibition this year than at any time in the past. Visitors also will be particularly delighted With the nature and extent of the entertainments provided for fchcir further enjoyment.
