LINWOOD CLUB.
At the' annual meeting of the , Club the anuual report to March 81st stated that the attendances at the progressive euclire socials had been maintained, and that ttiers had been an accession of members in the bridge section. The. increased attendances at the bridge evenings had been responsible for bringing thß club into a good financial position. ' • The balance-sheet shoved a credit of So 10s 6d in the receipts and expenditure, •whilst the assets were set down at £IOB 10s 6a, with no liabilities. The following officers were elected -President, Mr A. Archenhold;' rice-presidents, Messrs P, W. Dunnage, J. A. Clarke, R. "Partridge. A.* Marshall. H; P. V. Brown, H. Klllner, S. ; J A. Orchard, Mrs H. Green, and Mrs W. Vf. McKinney; committee, Mrs. Archenhold, Mrs Marshall, and Messrs Bobbins ahd Find lay; auditor, Mr A. Marshall; non. secretary and treasurer, Mr A. Cant. The opening eooial was fixed for .April .23rd, ''President's Evening.": '
