LABOURER'S OFFENCE.
(wsßsa association xsuwafjt.)WELLINGTON, April 16. James Word, "a labourer, 81, was sentenced to three months' imprison' ment by Mr E, Page, g,W., on a charge of being idle and disorderly. H« presented to a cafe proprietor an order ,on the Wellington Hospital Board after havine a meal, but thw had been interfered with. Originally it* was for one bed and one meal, but ho bad altered it to seven beds end IS meals, and accused wanted to turn the unconsumed portion of the order into cash. He, «ot tbe order from another man with whop he had been drinking.'. He had a police record.'
