AMATEUR ATHLETICS. MEETING AT PAPANUI TO-DAY. Considerable interest is being taken in the amateur sports carnival to be staged at the Ptmanui Domain. Sawyer s Arms road, this afternoon, commencing at 2.30, by th* clubs affiliated to the Canterbury Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association. All Canterbury's leading athletes and cyclists will be competing in handicap and scratch events.
