MAURICE CHEVALIER IN "THE BIG POND." We have just been informed, jkt medium of tha English cables, of the tremendous sensation caused by the appearance of Alaurice Chevalier in London l;\st week. .N'ext in importance to his personal appearance on the stage will be his appearance on the screen at the Crystal Palace on Mod day next in his latest all-talking romantic comedy, "The Bis Pond." Chevulier is a great 'artist with a wonderful personality, and it is no wonder that he is such a popular favourite, particularly among the fair sex. In "The Big Pond'' the versatile Chevalier plays a new kind of role, that of a penniless French nobleman who attempts to mijc money-making with love-making, and, of course, the latter he does to perfection. He Rings a number of new songs in his own irrepressible style; two, in pa-rticular, 44 You Brought n New Kind of Love to Me'* and "Living in the Sunlight, Loving in the Moonlight," are . bound to become popular in Chriatehurcii. Chevalier scores the biggest success of his meteoric career is "The Big Pond."' The box plans are now open at The Bristol Piano Company.
