FLOWER SHOW AT AMURI.

A PRETTY EXHIBITION. The annual flower sbow at Amuri, under tho auspices of the Amuri A. &nd P. Association, was held in the Waiau Public Hall, and was highly successful. Tbe entries. totalhns 440, wore somewhat less than those of last yo-ir the decrease heing attributable to tho cold spring and oonsoquont backward BCason. In spito of tho unfavourable weather condttions the exhibits were well up to tho sUtij dard tho roso classes in particular drawing lnr"0 entries, and many of the blooms beiii„ of "cxcollent quality. Tho tables for Btagin,; were well arranged, and tho hall presented a vorv attractive appearance. Tho show was oncned by tho president (Mr K L. Jameson). Tho judging wak done by Mr W. A. Krasmnson with satisfaction to all. Ihourh tho day was somewhat inclement, with hoaVy showers of rain, thero was a good attendunco of thu public during tho afternoon. Afternoon tea, under the management of ,M.csdames IJ. C. Mai-farlano and P. ft. l-iearden, was provided in the Library J lull, and proved a satisfactory sourco of revenue. TJio Ivaiwara Vase, for most points in Section t, (amateurs), to be won three times, v.-as won by Mrs It. A. Hoban, for tho second time, with 2S points. Mr P.
