YESTERDAY'S TRANSACTIONS. There was a good volume of business on call yesterday with the bulk of the turnover iti a few of the more popular stocks. Lyell (cum div.) 1400 Mahakipawa Goldfields 1000 Winding Creek (9d paid). New Zealand Government 4J per cent, tax free stock, due 1938, changed hands at £9B 10s, and the 5J per cent. Bonds, due 1933, at £99 17s 6d. Commercial Bank of Australia shares had dealings at 16s 2d, 16s Id, and l.Gs. 3d, market closing 16s Id sellers, 16s buyers. Bank of New Zealand shares were easier with dealings at prices ranging from 52s 6d to 52s 3d, and there were further sellers at 52s 3d. buvers at 52s 2d. New Zealand Breweries shares ex dividend had dealings at 425. 41s lOd, and 41s 9d, and more were offered at 41s 7d, buyers at 41s 3d. Tooths Brewery shares were fractionally weaker at 23s lOd.
