BICYCLE THEFTS.
SO THS BSITOB OX THB FBXSS. Sir,—l would lite to make a suggestion tkroughyciur very valuable paper ■which would, I think, : help to put an end to ' ■ bicycle-stealing. Could not bicycles be registered the same as motors, only on a cheaper scale, and have a small number plate, in; white, on the back of the machine? I am only a mother, and know of cases where the father has had to save to bay a child a bicycle to start work, and the first day ont two of this family lost their machine, not for the time, but for ever. I think it is time something was done, as some people must be trading in stolen machines. . The police. cannot cope .with all- of: It, but a small fee would save many a father mother from having to buy-a second machine for a child, before the child can earn one penny.—Yours, etc., . ■ ~.
