Thomas, Secretary of State for the Dominions dealing with world depression at the American Chamber of Commerce luncheon. "America is up against it, sis is Great Britain. Her people are hungry and suffering because of over-prcduc-tion, synchronised with under-con-sumption Uussia, India, and China, 47 per cent, of the world's population, are separated from the rest of the world. They are neither producers nor consumers. It is a time of pessimism. We can oniv survive hv facing the facts." MORE BANKS CLOSE. FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES. NEW YORK. November 18. A message from Little Uock (Arkansas) states that 13 banks in this Stnte closed to-day, bringing the total to S3 banks affected by the financial difficulties disclosed in the last two days, particularly in Tennessee.
