FIRES.
HOUSE DAMAGED. Tlie contents and the interior of the > siiting-room of Mr W. H. Hagger'g house at 72 Lincoln road were de- - stroyed by fire parly yesterday morning. The* rest of the house was undamaged . . The house, a two-storeyed buildina of brick and wcod. is occupied by Mr ' Christopher Rhodes. The Central Fire Brigade received the call at 2.40 a.m. yesterday. The insurances are £BOO on the. house in the Phoenix Assurance Company, and £205 in the Eagle, Star, and British Dominions Insurance Company on the contents. SHED DESTROYED. An iron shed at IS Ashbourne street, Woolston, owiK-d by Mr J. L. Gant, wAs destroyed by tire yesterday morning. The contents and the shed, which was used ns a drying room by plasterers, were valued at £3O or £4O. The Central Fire Brigade received the call at 5.57 a.m CAR BADLY DAMAGED. At 12 1C p.m. yesterday the Brigade received a call to 406 Barbadoes street, where a wooden workshop and garage owned by Mr F. C. Olliver was on fire. The building and some tools' in it were badly damaged. A threesenter car, owned by Sir R. E. Olliver a son of Mr F. C. Olliver, which was in. the garage, was badly damaged. The car was insured for £IOO in the Hertford Fire Insurance Company. The buildings and tools were nut cohered.
