MR FORBES VISITS SMITHFIELD.
TRIBUTE TO NEW ZEALAND MEAT. (VXITr.D PRESS ABBOCIATIOH—BT ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH- - COPTHIOHT.) LONDON, November 17. Mr O. W. Forbes, accompanied by Mr It. S. Forsyth, visited Smithfiold Market, where they were welcomed by Mr Conoley, chairman of the Markets Committee, and numerous salesmen. " Mr Conoley paid a high tribute to the quality of New Zealand meat. Mr Forbes said he was grat.fied to learn first hand that New Zealand produce was so good, and hoped thnt increasing supplies would meet the same good market. Much of their success was due to the Dominion's representation, notably the goodwill Mr Forsyth had established. Mr Forbes spent tho afternoon at the Ministry of Agriculture's quarantine station in the East Indies docks, enquiring of the possibilities for modifying New Zealand's embargo against the importations of stud stock from Great Britain. _ Mr Forbes will spend November 19th in Edinburgh, November 20th in Glasgow, next week-end at Leeds, November 24th at Bradford, November 25th at Liverpool, November 26th at Manchester, returning to London on November 27th He will spend December Ist in Dublin, and December 2nd in Belfast, arriving back in London on December 4th.
