SPRINGSTON GUN CLUB.
CLAY BIRD CHAMPIONSHIP. The clay championship of the' Springston Gun Club was decided at Mr' 0. N. Powell's property, Springston South. There was s very strong north-west wind blowing, and at times it seemed impossible to hit. the targets. Seventeen shooters took part, and three—A. E. Brightling (last year's champion), A. H. Kimber, and I. G. Watkins—each broke 20 out of the possible 21. In the shoot-off for the medal I. G. Watkins won, with A. H. Kimber second.
