-N : o knowledge ot the alleged action of tlie New Zealand Farmors' Union in drawing up a platform for submission to candidates at the next Parliamentary election is possessed by Mr A. E. Cr. Lyttle, the secretary of the Canterbury Branch of the Union. Mr Lyttle stated that conditions were different in the North Island, but he did not think that anything in the nature of drawing up a platform was being done. He referred to the Governor-Gen-eral's words to farmers last week, when his Excellency had advised them to keep out of polities.
