CYCLING.
SEW CLUB FORMED AT SUMNER. Last night a meeting: of Sumner cycling enthusiasts was held, when Mr E. A. UcKaskcll presided over a large gathering". Ii was decided to form a club, to be known as the Sumner. Cycling Club. The election of officers resulted aa follows: PaCron, Mr G. Hurray; 'president, Mr G. Gerard; vice-presidents, Mrs G. Murray, Mrs A. Don, Messrs F Haase, G. Farmer, R. Unwin, R Knox, W. Knox, T. Newbi.rgh, A. Don, W. Hampton, P. Dick, F. Aacock, J. Bromley, C. Bamford; chairman, Mr E. A. McKaskell; secretary, Mr G. Farmer; assistant secretary, Mf J. H. Parsons; treasurer, Mr J. H. Parsons; club captain, Mr H. Gibson; deputy-captain, Mr I>. Shaw; hardicapper and timekeeper, Mr J. A. Parsons; starter, Mr G. Farmer; committee, Messrs Wilson, R» Unwin, R Thompson, and G. Gerard; delegates to Sumner United Sports Association, Messrs H. Wilson and C. Bamford. It was decided to run a race on Decern btr lat, outside nominations to be taken. The membeiship fee was fixed at 2s 6d for seniors, and Is 6d for. juniors. The incoming committee was instructed to make enquiries regarding the possibility of holding a ladies' race. It was decided to hold the first meeting of th© committee next Monday evening, when club rules will be drawn up.
