(rRESS ASSOCIATION TILEGRAV.) NEW PLYMOUTH, November 17. Upon a true bill being returned against him, William Holmes, a drover, of Stratford, pleaded guilty in the' Supremo Court to eighteen charges of theft, forgery, and uttering. Holmes was agent for a cattle dealer, Alex. McMullian, who gave him a signed cheque book to pay for stock purchased on his behalf. Sentence was deferred.
