- A deputation from the Gaelic Society waited on the Minister for Internal Affairs (Mr P. A. de In Perrelle) at Dunedin on Saturday morning to thank him for his efforts in connexion with the erection of the McKenzie cairn on PuketapU Hill. Palmerston. The work is now in progress, and portion of the base is already visible from the town. The deputation also asked Mr de la Perrelle to attend the unveiling ceremony if his public engagements would permit him to do so. In reply, the Minister taid he would attend the ceremony if he possibly could, and it it took place about March or April, as was anticipated in some quarters.
